A lake can remain accessible while its ramp closes
Alamo Lake’s Low Water ramp is closed because of low levels. Fool Hollow permits only vessels that can be launched by hand. Lyman Lake has closed its ramps but still allows nonmotorized launching from beach access points. Read the vessel type and access point in each notice. A kayak exception at one park does not establish trailer access there or a similar exception somewhere else.

Choose the exact Lake Powell ramp
NPS maintains a separate status table for Lake Powell ramps, listing motorized vessels and paddlecraft individually. The reviewed table closes Wahweap Main and Antelope Point public ramps to motorized launching while listing paddlecraft use at the user’s risk. Other ramps have different limits. Check the live table for your vessel and intended launch before towing to the lake, and use the current ramp instructions for preparation and parking.
Shore access and camping are separate decisions
Lake Pleasant’s park update says shoreline camping remains closed and Cottonwood Cove has no shoreline access until further notice. It also describes separate designated and boat-in camping arrangements. A place to launch or fish is not automatically a place to camp. Verify the intended overnight arrangement, the route to it and arrival hours with the county before booking or leaving the boat on shore.
Read advisories for their precise location
Lyman Lake reports harmful algae, while Patagonia Lake has a flathead-catfish consumption advisory. These are different issues with different official instructions. Before swimming, taking a pet to the shore or planning to eat a catch, open the managing agency’s current advisory and its linked environmental-health guidance. The absence of a new notice here is not a water-quality test or an assurance that a lake is safe.
